So today, I wanted to try something different with my blogs. I often like to set goals for myself based on my vision of what I want the future to be. Many people call this futurescaping. Although there are many different definitions for it, futurescaping is essentially planning out your future or using your idea of what you want your future to be to shape the course of your life.
For some this can be daunting, but for me, it's a great way to help me figure out where I want to go in life. It is also a way for me to create goals while also having a dream board to inspire me. I encourage anyone who stumbles upon this to try it.
When I imagine where I am going my biggest goal is to happy but also be able to sustain myself. I hope to have multiple opportunities to travel but also have my own home and space to return to when I'm done.
I would love to have a brand new car by the after I graduate that is fuel efficient and eco-friendly. There are many options for cars but, if I could have the very best car I would want the Tesla Model S. However, I also wouldn't mind a Kia Sorento or Hyundai Tuscan.
By the time I graduate, I hope to have more knowledge on Graphic Design, Ux Design and coding. I also think it would be a lot of fun to learn how to animate and use those skills to help me further my career. My primary goal is to have a portfolio piece for each area of learning that I am interested in by the time I graduate.
Although it is highly unlikely, I would love a job at Microsoft or Google in Redmond. When I had my job shadow at Microsoft, it was amazing. It is truly designed to be a place you never need to leave. I also believe a job that is close to my sisters university would be ideal.
The most important thing to me is having a home to call my own. A place where I can be comfortable and happy. Although I'm not exactly sure where I will live, I know what I want in an apartment or house--a puppy! Below is the style that I love. I hope to be able to afford a place as luxurious as this.
I fully recognize and understand that all of this will not happen immediately after I graduate. It will take a lot of hardwork, effort and patience. However, I am will to do what it takes to make my dreams a reality.
