Partnering with Black Digital
Black Digital is a marketing agency located in Washington, DC that also supports underrepresented communities and businesses owned by people of color. One of their clients is the Executive Leadership Council (ELC) whose goal is to build an inclusive leadership pipeline through programs, conferences, and research. Each year the ELC holds a conference called the Mid-Level Managers’ Symposium (MLMS) which is a two-day professional development experience.
In 2021, I developed a visual identity for the theme of the annual conference, “Cultivating Greatness”. I translated the visual identity into website and social media concepts that were later used in the production stage which won the 2021 MarCom Platinum Award for Digital Media and Microsite.

A little more on the design
This project was challenging because there was very little information to use for inspiration. So, I tried to reimagine the ELC brand for consistency. I took heavy inspiration from technology conferences that used bright pops of colors for a clean modern design. I included monochromatic photo collages of conference attendees to highlight the diverse professionals who participate. I also included geometric elements from ELC's logo to give subtle nods to the core brand and make it a little more unique.
