My first adult job at Saint Martin's

I like to think that I made a slight difference at Saint Martin’s even though I was fresh out of college and nervous as hell. I did my best to bring all the knowledge I gained on higher education marketing from my internship at Pacific Lutheran University. I took the initiative to lead several projects including the redesign of their acceptance packages, the creation of university email templates, and implementing a ticketing system for the office to track project efficiency and production. I also got to design the visual identity for the 125th anniversary and learned how to implement Snapchat geofilters for campus. Each project, especially the acceptance packages, were fun opportunities to bring the Saint Martin's brand and values to life. However, one of my favorite projects was the gala recipe cards. I just loved looking at all the gourmet food and learning how to cook it.

What I loved about the #SaintLife

Working for a university means every day is unique. I engaged with students through clubs, events, or mentorship. I could participated in the Act Six Leadership committee and helped welcome the first cadre of students to the university. I loved how I was challenged each day to create something amazing even when there was little to no budget. This job helped me learn about community building, leadership, and how to be flexible in the face of budget challenges.
